Who are Navigators 20s?

Navigators 20s is one entity of the US Navigators, headquartered in Colorado Springs, CO, established in 1935 by a small team of disciples of Jesus who worked tirelessly to help people know and love God and pass that on to their friends. The Navigator calling is to advance the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among those who do not yet know Him.

Navigators 20s ministries are represented in 25 different cities across the country including New York, Minneapolis and San Diego. Each location's ministry looks a bit different, but our basic practices remain consistent and include:

  • following Jesus in discipleship relationships

  • authentic dialogue

  • building community and teams

  • spiritual mentoring

  • endorsing an ownership mentality

What are we doing here in D.C.?

Washington, D.C. is a city like no other, with hopes, commitments, needs, solutions, theories, attempts, and failures. In the midst of this complex environment, Navigators 20s/30s DC exists to help people in their 20s and 30s in the DC region draw closer to God and to their friends.

Life is challenging at this stage of growth and experience, but God first calls us to Himself, then to community, and then provides it. Quite a system. From there it’s up to us to step into, learn from, grow up in and enjoy His provision, and then pass what we've learned and lived along to others. This is our deep commitment to disciple-making in all facets of our lives.

In Navigators 20s DC, we hope you’ll join us at whatever pace is best for you. People don’t “join” the Navigators past the university setting. You come along as you are able, unless you’ve committed to a Bible Study or CityLife team.

You will occasionally notice that we address the ministry as Navigators 20s/30s. This reflects the broader age range in DC where people are often longer in the “new employment” stage of their career because they’ve completed graduate or professional education. People will often join us and contribute into their 40s.
