Welcome to the D.C. metro. It’s fast-paced. Sprawling. Exciting too. And yet it can be a little lonely when you first get here. We’d love to make it a little less so.

Come join us for lemonade, frisbee, and cookies at Oakland Park. Make a new friend or two, or at least enjoy some snacks and find out what we are up to this summer and fall.

Who: Recent arrivals to the DMV (if you are wondering if you qualify, YOU DO), and any folks already here for a while who'd like to come say hello.

Where: Oakland Park, 3705 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22203 (one block west of the VA Square/GMU metro stop on the Orange and Silver line)

Why: To meet new friends in the DC metro area
