Emily Giacomini is the daughter of a Northern Italian father and an English mother who met in Bermuda, married in New York and welcomed her and her brother in California. As a Career & Leadership Coach who founded Volare Insights, LLC, Emily walks alongside professional women as they transition into new job opportunities or deepen their impact in their current roles, eager to pursue all God calls them to be. She also partners with The Falls Church Anglican AFL (Anglicans for Life) Chapter to coordinate the Hope and Healing Bible Study every spring and fall for women, men, family and friends impacted by abortion, to spread the word that God is love and can heal all our wounds.

This is the story of my friendship with my transgender neighbor and what God did in that person’s life. It’s a glimpse behind the curtain of how our Creator gives us assignments and then weaves together the plan He has in mind.and all we have to do is show up for the privilege of watching Him move. It’s a testimony of how He generously equips the body of believers to participate in His work through listening, prayer and praise. It’s also the legacy of a brave soul who wrestled with questions of faith and identity and emerged triumphant on the other side.
